Fit-Over Optics · Polarized · Oversized Square

Keep your
glasses on.

Two frames. One silhouette.
Nobody can tell.

GlamOver slides straight over the prescription glasses you already own. No second Rx. No clip-ons bolted to your frames. No squinting through another summer because eyewear brands forgot you exist.

Reel 01 · On-face

Over your glasses.
Not instead of them.

The frame underneath is still on her face. You cannot see it.

Why these and not the others

Four things
the cheap
ones can't
copy.

  • A real fit envelope

Built with clearance for the frames people actually own — not a token 2mm of extra room. Check your width against the numbers below before you order.

  • Side-shield temples

The arms flare wide at the hinge instead of tapering to a wire. That kills the side windows most fit-overs leave open, so light stops sneaking in at your temples.

  • Layered acetate, gold T-bar

The tortoise isn't printed on — translucent amber runs through the shell so it shifts depth in daylight. Slim metal inlay at each hinge. Details you normally pay designer money for.

  • Polarized, not just dark

Cuts the flat glare off windshields, wet asphalt and water — the thing tinted plastic can't do. Every lens filters 100% UVA and UVB.

Reel 02 · Angles

Front. Side.
Still just sunglasses.

The double frame only reads from behind. Nobody is looking at you from behind.

Your four options, honestly

You've already
tried three
of these.

Prescription sunglasses Expensive

A second full pair, priced like a second full pair — and obsolete the day your prescription changes.

Clip-ons Looks bolted on

Visible hardware clamped to your good frames, and completely useless on the days you wear contacts.

Squinting Free

Your current plan. Three summers of glare, headaches and creasing your eyes shut at every intersection.

GlamOver Wear both

Slides over the glasses you already own, reads as one oversized designer frame from the front, and still works as a standalone pair on contact days.

Reel 03 · Detail

Gold T-bar.
Layered acetate.

Look at the hinge. That's where cheap fit-overs give themselves away.

Ask the hard ones

Every reason
you're hesitating.

From the front — the only angle that matters — no. The outer frame is deliberately oversized and deep enough that your lenses sit fully inside the shadow line. The stacked construction is visible from behind and in flat product shots, which is exactly why we show it: it's engineering, not a mistake.

Measure your glasses flat: full width edge to edge, and lens height at the tallest point. Anything up to 145mm wide and 45mm tall goes in. That covers the overwhelming majority of adult frames, including most progressives and wider acetates. If you're over, return it and we'll take it back.

The outer frame is 32g and it rests on your brow and the bridge of your own glasses — not on your nose alone. The flared temples grip at the sides rather than clamping. It's a wider fit than your glasses on their own, but it isn't a heavier one in any way you'll notice after a minute.

Polarized, category 3, with a full 100% UVA/UVB filter. Test it yourself when it arrives: hold it up to a phone or laptop screen and rotate 90 degrees. If the screen goes dark, the filter is real. Tinted plastic doesn't do that.

The frame is layered acetate rather than brittle injection plastic, so it flexes instead of snapping at the hinge. Lenses are hard-coated. Two things kill any sunglass: leaving them on a hot dashboard, which softens acetate and warps the fit, and dropping them lens-down in a bag with keys. A case handles both.

Yes. On contact days they read as a standard oversized square frame. That's the entire point — you're buying one pair, not a specialist accessory that sits in a drawer half the week.

Free shipping on every order, dispatched within one business day. 30 days to return them for any reason at all — including "they didn't suit my face." Fit-over eyewear is bought on trust, so we make it cheap to be wrong.

In her words

Three weeks in.
Still wearing them daily.

Not the unboxing. The part after the novelty wears off. Sound on.

Nobody has noticed. Three weeks.

I kept waiting for someone to say "are you wearing two pairs of glasses" and it hasn't happened once. My frames are fairly wide acetate and they still sit inside with room. The brown lens is the one — makes everything look warmer instead of grey.

Bought them for the commute glare

Driving west at 6pm was genuinely unpleasant before this. The polarising is real — did the phone screen rotate test out of curiosity and it goes black. Wraps far enough at the sides that I'm not getting light in from the edges either.

Honest note: they are big

Four stars only because I have a small face and they're a statement — which I now like, but it took two days. Fit over my glasses with no pressure at all. The lilac ones look far more expensive in person than online.

Cancelled my prescription sunglasses order

I was about to spend a small fortune on a second pair with my script in them. Got these instead. My optician actually asked where they were from. The gold detail at the hinge is what sells it — doesn't look like a medical accessory at all.

Measured first. Fit exactly as stated.

My frames are 142mm across so I was borderline on paper. They go on and off cleanly with one hand and don't drag on my lenses. Appreciated that the listing gave a real number instead of "fits most."

I wear them on contact days too

Didn't expect that to matter but it's the reason I use them constantly. They don't look like a device you put over something. They just look like large square sunglasses, which is what I wanted anyway.

Ditched the clip-ons

The clip-ons I had left marks on my frames and looked exactly like clip-ons. These are a different category of thing. Slightly wider on the head than normal sunglasses, as you'd expect, but not tight.

The acetate has actual depth

I've bought cheap tortoise frames before where the pattern is clearly printed flat. This one has amber running through it — you notice it most in direct sun. Feels solid in the hand, not hollow.

Good, with one caveat

Excellent for driving and walking the dog. If you push them up on your head with your glasses on it feels awkward, so I just take them off properly now. Minor. Would buy again.

Bought for my mum, kept borrowing them

She has progressives and has complained about sunglasses for years. She wears these constantly now. I ordered a lilac pair for myself two weeks later.

Two weeks of fishing, no complaints

Glare off water is the whole test and they passed. No light coming in at the sides, which is where every previous pair I owned failed. Came with a case, which I actually use.

Ordered nervously. Kept them.

Every fit-over I'd seen before looked clinical, so I nearly didn't order. These read as a fashion frame first. I've had two compliments and zero questions about what they are.
